Pisa Flight
October 2023: Peryton Space had the exciting opportunity to visit the University of Pisa as part of their dissertation research focused on “Testing Perovskite Solar Cells for Space-based Applications.” The primary objective was to conduct a weather balloon test with attached Perovskite Solar Cells, reaching an impressive apogee of approximately 105,000 ft and successfully recovered. Subsequent weeks were dedicated to meticulously analysing the obtained results, which demonstrated relevant results. Gratitude was extended to Jae Sung Yun for entrusting the mission to the team. The knowledge gained from this successful test is anticipated to be applied to future weather balloon projects in collaboration with Peryton Space.
