IOSM 2024

Peryton Space WON the 2024 IOSM UKSEDS competition in our first year competing.  The team competed in three challenges ranging from detailed reports, posters, a business one-pager and a presentation.

The challenges tackled the space debris problem, with over 100,000 pieces of debris predicted to be in space by 2030, our team developed a solution called STELLAR (Satellite Trash Elimination from LEO using Adhesive Removal). This satellite would use an adhesive interface, inspired by gecko feet, to attach drag sails to debris and bring them back to Earth.
