Satellite Design Competition

Peryton Space, won the 2023 Satellite Design Competition (SDC). The SDC challenges students and young professionals to design and construct a CubeSat prototype addressing a specific challenge within the space industry. The project demonstrated ingenuity in tackling the critical issue of space debris, aligning with the competition’s focus for the 22/23 cycle. The team’s CubeSat underwent rigorous testing, earning them recognition for their outstanding efforts.

The SDC is structured to simulate the project workflow of the space sector, involving milestones such as the preliminary design review (PDR), critical design review (CDR), and test readiness review (TRR). Collaborating with industry partners (Airbus for instance) students gain practical experience that seamlessly prepares them for roles within the space industry.
